Our Large Van layout is our biggest and most comfortable layout, featuring a galley kitchen, rear entry, and a full-sized queen bed. This kit is optimised for the larger kiwi passenger vans, which allow for standing height but have windows the full way around. We have maximised the space, while maintaining unobstructed views from your side and rear windows. No matter which way you park, you’ll be able to catch sunsets, sunrises, mountains, seas and lakes from this design! Our Large kit sets are currently available for:

The Large Van kits have a van deck length of up to 3.4m, so we have fitted a full-sized queen bed (1.5m x 2.0m), leaving plenty of room for the kitchen. With the extra storage available, we have opened up our horseshoe kitchen into a galley style kitchen with a fold-up rear table. This allows us to maintain the inside/outside design, while also offering rear loading for those longer items (surf board, kayak, bikes, golf clubs etc.).

As with all VanLab kits, we have designed our Large kit for Inside/outside use. The galley style rear kitchen features a fold-up table to create a horseshoe shaped worktop, while maintaining rear entry. We have also modified out middle bench, giving you a complete walk-through van design. This has the effect of easier ingress/egress, but also frees up a straight storage section of nearly 3m in length when the bed is up.

The bed is made from the front and middle bench seats, with a folding table. The front living space provides a heap of storage in the bench seats, while converting the table to a bed takes only a few seconds.

Kitchen Area: We feature a rear galley style kitchen, up to a 40L compressor fridge, 15L sink, 25L of fresh and grey water tanks and then heaps of space all your typical kitchen and living items. The kitchen height is set below the window line, providing both a comfortable worktop height and uninterrupted views!

Living/Sleeping Area: The bench seating and tables convert to a queen bed (150cm x 205cm). We have a bedside table storage area on each side of the bed, which is completed with USB chargers and the light switches. Perfect to storage your valuables (keys, phone, wallet) overnight and charging your phone while you sleep.

Self containment: Like all VanLab kits, the Large Kit can be certified self-contained for 2 people. There are 25 litre fresh and grey water tanks, a hand pump tap and small sink in the kitchen unit. The portable toilet is stored under the middle bench and can slide out into the Galley kitchen for use, even when the bed is set-up.

Storage: The total storage is 1350L

Electrical: As with all VanLab kits, our Small van is compatible with our integrated wiring loom. This means, you can fit either a 100Ah or 120Ah leisure battery, with Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) connection to the start battery. This mean ‘charge while you drive’ and auto-disconnect when you stop. Our loom comes with 3 x LED lights, 2 x voltmeters, 2 x double USB chargers, fridge power socket and additional fused outputs for auxiliary supply. We can also fit a range of 230V inverters for appliance charging.
